About the team

OSB Group is undertaking a significant transformation programme, building new cloud-based customer journeys and experiences supported by a modern enterprise data architecture. In parallel, the Group Data Office is responsible for maintaining a complex legacy data landscape that continues to run the bank today.

This PO will play a key part in helping OSB design and deliver a data strategy that will drive value through innovation and creation of data products, as well as supporting the delivery of Transformation.

What you will be doing?

As a Data Product Owner you’ll be focussing on the modernisation of the bank, working as a trusted advisor for the business, including data engineering, architecture and future data science teams.

 

Your role is working closely with business and technology teams, to ensure data products are designed and delivered to drive measurable value, while maintaining appropriate controls, quality and transparency.

 

This role is responsible for defining and deriving value-based delivery informed by the demands raised by the product owners or business SME's.

 

Your responsibilities will include…

 

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for data products and platforms, aligned to business objectives and customer outcomes
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from discovery and prioritisation through to delivery and continuous optimisation
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architects and data teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and measurable value
  • Establish product goals, OKRs, KPIs and success metrics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and prioritisation
  • Lead the development of business cases and engage senior stakeholders to secure alignment, investment and delivery support
  • Embed strong data governance, management and quality practices, working with data owners and stewards to ensure clear accountability
  • Apply Agile and Lean product management methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic programme objectives
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of data products and services, including BI and analytics, data APIs, data platforms, delivery risks, machine learning solutions, data models and master data management

We offer a base salary depending on experience ranging from £75,000 to £95,000 per annum and a competitive benefits package including:

Do you have the skills?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Previous work experience:
    • Creating the data platform vision, strategy and enterprise solutions and services from ideation to launch through the translation of business requirements
    • Working with a multidisciplinary team on customer and business focused data products and services
    • Managing complex change initiatives involving data
    • Defining financials, ROI, KPI’s and forecasts

 

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Data platforms and architecture
    • Data engineering concepts and practices
    • Data management, governance, quality and lineage
    • Regulatory expectation in relation to data management in financial services
