About the team

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Design & Research team within Transformation as we help shape the future of OSB Group. We're building a greenfield digital bank from the ground up, creating customer-centric experiences that will transform how customers interact with us and support the business's strategic ambitions.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll work alongside a talented and expanding team of designers and researchers, collaborating across Product, Technology, and the wider business to deliver innovative, insight-led digital experiences that make a real impact.

Location: This role can be based in Wolverhampton, Chatham, or London and operates under our hybrid working policy of three days a week in the office and two days working from home. Some travel between UK offices will be required.

What you will be doing?

As a UX/UI Designer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering exceptional digital experiences across OSB Group's website journeys, spanning both customer-facing marketing experiences and more complex digital interactions.

This is a hands-on design role where you'll work across the full design lifecycle, from discovery, research, and analytics through to interaction design, prototyping, testing, and final UI delivery. You'll use customer insights and behavioural analytics to inform design decisions, creating intuitive, accessible, and customer-centred experiences that support both user needs and business objectives.

Joining OSB Group during an exciting period of transformation, you'll have the opportunity to influence how customers discover, evaluate, and engage with our products and services within a regulated financial services environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of our digital customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Designing end-to-end user journeys, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for marketing and website experiences.
  • Delivering both standard and more complex user journeys, applying design thinking methods to understand user and business needs, supporting and where required facilitating workshops.
  • Balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to create mobile-first, multi-channel customer experiences that drive engagement and conversion, while ensuring all designs meet accessibility and inclusive design standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)
  • Working collaboratively in agile with cross-functional teams to understand problems, define scope, and improve customer journeys across touchpoints, reducing hand off issues.
  • Contributing to discovery activities and design planning, using customer research and behavioural analytics to define problems, identify opportunities, and explore effective solutions.
  • Defining and delivering UX research (e.g. usability testing, user interviews) and synthesise findings into clear insights that inform design decisions.
  • Leading design system development, using and evolving components and patterns where needed, partnering with engineering to ensure accurate implementation and promote adoption.

What's in it for you?

We offer a base salary dependent of experience and location between £37,000- £47,000 and a competitive benefits package:

  • Annual discretionary bonus opportunity: up to 15 % of salary.
  • 30 days annual leave
  • Choose to contribute 3% or 5% pension, with employer contributions of 6% or 8% respectively
  • Enhanced family-focused benefits
