We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Lending Value Stream, focusing on the Financial Support Team (Collections). You’ll be part of a collaborative product team working to improve how we support customers through financial difficulty by enhancing the systems, processes and journeys that underpin our collections capability.

 

Working closely with Product Owners, engineers, and business stakeholders, you’ll help shape solutions, refine product ideas and ensure we’re delivering meaningful improvements for both customers and colleagues.

 

This role can be based in our Chatham, London or Wolverhampton office and the befit of operating within the hybrid policy.

What you will be doing?

As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping teams understand problems, shape solutions and deliver value iteratively.

 

You’ll work closely with Product Owners and delivery teams to translate business needs and customer outcomes into well-defined backlog items that enable teams to build the right things, in the right way.

 

Key responsibilities will include…

  • Work with the Product Owners, delivery teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, customer needs and opportunities for improvement for implementation of a new collections system.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation, ensuring requirements are clear, appropriately sized and ready for delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Support Team, engineering and architecture teams to shape solution options that align with business goals and roadmap
  • Identify risks, dependencies and impacts during discovery and delivery, supporting the team in addressing these proactively.
  • Work closely with testing and operational teams to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs and are ready for implementation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the change process, supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the value stream

Do you have the skills?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively in Agile teams and translating business needs into solutions that deliver real value.

 

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in an Agile delivery environment
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and refining product backlogs
  • Experience facilitating workshops and working closely with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to understand complex business processes and simplify them into clear requirements
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in mortgages, lending or financial services
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
