About the team

The PR team is responsible for the creation, management, implementation and delivery of OSB Group’s PR strategy. This includes producing high‑quality proactive and reactive external communications and working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to develop content opportunities and initiatives for key external audiences.

 

We are looking for a Senior PR Executive to join the PR team at OSB Group on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

What you will be doing?

As a Senior PR Executive, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, proactive and reactive external communications across OSB Group and its trading brands. Your work will help ensure our messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with our strategic priorities.

 

The purpose of this role is to support a programme of external communications that strengthens the Group’s profile and supports its commercial objectives. You will play a key part in delivering public relations activity, with a particular focus on trade and customer communications.

 

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce insightful, accurate and engaging content that resonates with the bank’s target audiences. This includes helping to identify opportunities, shape messaging and ensure communications are delivered to a high standard.

 

Your responsibilities will include…

 

  • Preparing a range of communications, including press releases, reactive statements, trade articles and background briefing notes, taking them from initial concept through to coverage analysis.
  • Planning, researching and developing proactive PR stories and ideas for review by the PR Manager and wider business.
  • Identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders across the business to support effective external storytelling.
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Press Room, including managing journalist enquiries, identifying comment opportunities and contributing to media relationship building.
  • Ensuring all external PR activity is tracked, measured and reported on a monthly basis using media monitoring platforms.
  • Applying best practice to all external communications to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of PR activities against agreed objectives and KPIs, using appropriate tools such as research, monitoring services and insight.

Do you have the skills?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

 

  • Previous work experience in public relations, with at least three years’ experience originating, developing and delivering PR content within a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PR principles and practice, including delivering consumer and trade activity across multiple brands and working across both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content for a range of audiences.
  • Experience of working with journalists, with a strong understanding of media requirements.
  • A confident, proactive self‑starter, able to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
