The Operational Risk and Control Assurance Team is a core part of the Group’s Risk Assurance Function, supporting the Bank by delivering independent, risk‑based assurance. At the heart of this work is a structured programme of control testing across critical business areas. Testing is conducted throughout the year in line with a risk‑based assurance plan, ensuring that the most significant risks are subject to rigorous scrutiny, challenge, and validation. By joining this team, you will be part of a group with a diverse skill set, bringing together varied expertise to strengthen the Bank’s control environment, promote consistency, and provide confidence that key risks are being effectively managed. You will report directly to the Group Head of Risk Assurance, ensuring visibility and impact at the highest level.
As a Senior Risk and Control Assurance Manager, you will have the opportunity to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management and internal control frameworks across the Group. Leading independent assurance reviews, providing expert insights into control design and operative effectiveness, and supporting senior leadership in driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and contributing to the strategic development and delivery of the risk assurance plan, and helping shape the function’s approach to assurance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
