About the team

The Ops Control and Assurance team are a specialist team, who provide independent assurance across the Operational 1LoD through assurance monitoring, outcomes testing, control testing and customer journeys.

What you will be doing?

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide specialist, effective and independent assurance for assigned business functions within the Operational 1LoD and will be responsible for supporting the execution of customer outcomes, control assurance testing and delivery of themes and recommendations to associated operational functions.

The role is key in ensuring the Operational 1LoD meets business needs and regulatory expectations.

 

Your responsibilities will include…

 

  • Conduct the day-to-day execution of Customer Outcomes Testing across area of responsibility (in line with approved assurance plan)
  • Ensure Customer Outcomes Testing is completed in line with Consumer Duty regulations and the Banks Customer Outcomes Testing framework.
  • Provide regular feedback to area of responsibility on Customer Outcomes testing including key themes, area of focus.
  • Support Outcome Testing reporting requirements, across 1st line operational functions, 2nd & 3rd line reviews and Group Committee reporting.
  • Support Ops Control & Assurance Manager with development of team knowledge and skillset across associated area of responsibility.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory expectations and the Banks Ops Risk and Conduct Risk frameworks.

 

 

Please note that this is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Do you have the skills?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

 

  • Experience in Quality Assurance, including oversight and effectiveness testing within Financial Services is essential.
  • Experience in conducting customer outcomes testing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience on the FCA’s Consumer Outcomes, Fair treatment of Vulnerable Customers and the Consumer Duty Regulations
  • Excellent Understanding of FCA Principles is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business is essential.
  • Strong Knowledge of risk and internal control principles and frameworks such as COSO is essential.
