About the team

As Head of Credit Risk Decision Systems, reporting to the Group Head of Credit Risk Strategy, this role will work alongside Portfolio Leads and the wider business to develop and implement credit strategies through PowerCurve. You will also work collaboratively with other Functions of the business, including existing Delivery Teams to identify, drive and support the effective delivery of credit strategies to achieve OSB Groups’ goals and objectives.

 

The role has the flexibility to be based from Wolverhampton or London.

What you will be doing?

As Head of Credit Risk Decision Systems you will build, test and implement Credit Risk Strategies through scalable, standardised effective code using Experian PowerCurve for Origination (PCO) / Strategy Design Studio (SDS) to support credit decision automation and real-time application decisioning across the UK geography within the Credit Risk Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop new strategies and enhance existing strategies using Strategy Design Studio (SDS) for multiple business portfolios, acting as SME, providing expertise and support across business and technical solutions
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining a strong governance and risk control framework carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Group Risk Management framework, policies and standards.
  • Provide appropriate insight, recommendation and support for all things related to Credit Risk Decision System and Technical Requirements.
  • Responsible for defining, planning and implementing business requirements through Experian PowerCurve for Origination (PCO).
  • Lead and deliver credit strategy decision System components including designing effective reusable components to improve development productivity and drive cost savings.

Do you have the skills?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Extensive previous experience developing, building and implementing credit or collections strategies in PowerCurve for Origination/Decisioning systems
  • Demonstrable experience of using SQL and Java.
  • Detailed and in depth knowledge of PowerCurve for Originations and Credit Risk decisioning systems, ID & V, Affordability and Lending Applications
  • Track record of data analysis with the ability to present to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
