About the team

Are you a compliance advisory expert who can partner with the business to deliver innovation and regulatory change?

 

Do you have extensive regulatory knowledge within Consumer Duty and across retail banking products to assist the implementation of regulated policies and procedures?

What you will be doing?

As a Senior Compliance Business Partner, you will partner with business areas on regulatory compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant UK regulatory standards whilst championing the customer during change implementation and process improvement.  

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Provide direction and leadership to the Compliance Advice team to facilitate regulatory and conduct risk focused advice that is proportionate to the Group’s risk appetite.
  • Identify and assess conduct regulatory change matters facing the business using business knowledge and industry best practice when advising practical solutions.
  • Be a technical Compliance and Conduct advisor to the business through dedicated strategic Group Programmes.
  • Represent the Compliance function on key business/regulatory projects and initiatives providing specialist technical conduct related interpretation, advice and challenge.
  • Support the Group Head of Compliance Advice in building trusted relationships by leading engagement with stakeholders to facilitate building a compliance culture. Guide and counsel the wider team, in contributing to building stakeholder relationships.

Do you have the skills?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

 

  • Previous experience in retail banking and an understanding of retail products and services is essential for this role.
  • Prior experience in a second line compliance or conduct risk role within the financial service industry is needed.
  • Detailed working and practical knowledge of the FCA handbook including MCOB, BCOBS, SYSC, PRIN and COCON and its application in practice is essential.
  • Ability to be autonomous, multi-task, be highly organised and manage time effectively is vital.
  • Formal professional compliance and/or risk management related qualifications are desirable.
