OSB Group are offering a rare opportunity to join our IT team as a IT Risk and Compliance Apprentice. This position will give you fantastic insight and experience working with the IT Risk and Compliance team.

 

You will gain a thorough understanding of a risk management and will support the Bank to meet current and future demands. Working within a supportive team, you will get ‘hands on’ experience whilst achieving qualifications to support your career goals.

What you will be doing

On a typical day, you will be completing a variety of tasks to support the team. This includes:

 

  • Supporting the preparation and maintenance of committee agenda, packs, actions, and minutes
  • Attending key risk and compliance meetings and take meeting minutes for distribution to staff
  • IT Risk Register administration and support -updating the risk register following risk meetings
  • Supporting Risk Managers workloads when working with the IT Risk champions
  • Ensuring information is captured to support updates on issues and risk events when raised to ensure all required information has been captured and input
  • Recording new risk issues onto the tracker and liaising with the relevant IT Risk Manager
  • IT Risk Assurance team & IT Compliance team liaison and support

  • A permanent contract
  • Professional Cyber Security Risk Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship Qualification, with an established training provider, supporting you all the way
  • A buddy to help you navigate your first steps in your financial services career
  • £14,000 starting salary
  • 5% annual performance related discretionary bonus
  • A Monday – Friday, 9-5 job (no weekend working!)

Could you be the one?

What we need from you: 

  • An inquisitive mind!
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn the department from the ground up
  • Able to use a word processing package and simple spreadsheets, e.g. to maintain records of information
  • Determination to learn and develop new skills, with the long term aim to progress
  • Minimum GSCE’s (Grade 4/ C or above) in Mathematics and English and ideally working towards higher education in Year 13
  • Right to work in the UK
  • (You cannot apply if you have an existing qualification in the apprentice area you wish to apply for)
